Visitors are always welcome at our Sunday meetings. Whether you live in the area, or are just visiting, we would be pleased to see you. At Tiptree URC, our desire is to discover, develop, and deepen our experience of God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
Sunday morning worship lasts around an hour. Services are structured, but the atmosphere is always relaxed. Rev. Ken Thom, our joint Minister with Kelvedon URC, leads our services every other week. For other weeks, we welcome a range of visiting speakers, and occasionally one of our own people takes the service. Our hymns range from traditional to the more modern and are accompanied by one of our keyboard players.
For children, we organise “Messy church”- type activities based on a Bible theme.
On the second Sunday of each month (usually) we celebrate the Lord’s Supper, and all believers are welcome to participate.
Bible reading is important to us, and our speaker will explain and apply the passage to our lives. Offerings are received which support the ongoing work of our church and its upkeep. These are primarily for members and friends, but contributions from visitors and guests are always greatly appreciated.
After morning service there is time for people to stay and chat over refreshments, when they can share the week’s news, encourage one another, and meet visitors.
An Elder is always available after the service for personal prayer.
It is important to us that our worship equips us for everyday life.
We are committed to the ministry of all believers, releasing the gifts of our members to serve the wider community and beyond for the love of Christ.
