All these beliefs are based on passages from the Bible

The Trinity - God: Three in One

The Trinity means that there is one true God who exists eternally in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

People - God's Image Bearers

God created people, both male and female, in His own image. Every person has been created to be unique, with a dignity which should be respected in Christian love. We were made to live in relationship with God, but the first people were separated from Him because of sinful disobedience. We cannot now enter into a right relationship with God by our own effort.

The Father - God is Great and Good

God is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging and holy. God is also our Father – He is good, loving, merciful, compassionate and true to His people and promises.

The Son - God became Man

Jesus Christ is fully God and at the same time fully human. He lived a perfect life, yet died the death of a law-breaker in our place, so that through faith in Him we might be made free. Jesus rose from the dead and is seated next to God the Father in heaven. Jesus is God’s plan for bringing people back into a right relationship with Him.

Salvation - God's Way

The Church - God's Community

The Bible - God's Book

The Holy Spirit - God's Presence

God, in His love and faithfulness has provided a way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. It is through faith in Jesus’ death and resurrection that our sins are forgiven. If we invite Him, Christ enters our lives by the power of the Holy Spirit, enabling us to develop as Christians with an assurance of eternity in heaven.

The Head of the Church is Jesus Christ. The Church was established as a community of baptised believers, and called to work together in love and unity with the purpose of glorifying Jesus Christ. Our challenge is to be committed to His teachings, to obey His commandments, and to share His gospel throughout the world.

The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and is the supreme authority for all Christian life and witness. It is our ‘manual’ for “teaching, correcting, encouraging and training in righteousness.”

The Holy Spirit draws every Christian believer to Christ, assuring us of our living relationship with Him, enabling us to live a life pleasing to God and guiding us into all truth. God’s Spirit convicts people of sin, God’s righteousness, and the coming judgment. He exalts Jesus Christ, and gives spiritual gifts and strength to believers to live out their daily lives.
